This website is operated by Kashish Chugh (ABN: 40381983261 ), a registered counsellor practicing as a sole trader under the name Kashish Chugh. In this policy “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Kashish Chugh. My contact email is hello@kashishchugh.com.
What information I collect
I collect personal information when you submit an enquiry form, book a session, join a waitlist, or contact me directly. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and any information you share in your message.
If you become a client, I also collect health-related information including session notes, intake forms, consent forms, mood tracking data, and any other information relevant to your care. This is collected with your explicit consent.
I do not collect sensitive information without your consent. I do not collect information from children under 18 without parental consent.
How I collect information
Information is collected through the contact and enquiry forms on this website, through email and direct messaging, through your client portal if you are a client, and through booking systems.
Why I collect information
I collect personal information to respond to your enquiry, to provide counselling and related services, to manage your client portal and session records, to send you information you have requested such as waitlist updates, and to meet my legal and professional obligations as a registered counsellor.
I do not use your information for marketing without your explicit consent. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or as described in this policy.
How I store and protect your information
Your information is stored securely using encrypted digital systems. Client portal data is stored on secure servers. I take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Session notes and clinical records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with Australian health records legislation. For clients who were minors at the time of treatment, records are retained until they reach 25 years of age or for 7 years from the date of last contact, whichever is longer.
Sharing your information
I do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances. Where you have given explicit consent. Where I am required by law to disclose information, for example in response to a court order. Where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious and imminent risk of harm to you or another person. Where I engage third-party service providers such as booking platforms or payment processors, who are bound by their own privacy obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information I hold about you. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate information. You have the right to request deletion of your information, subject to my legal retention obligations. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

This policy is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). I am committed to handling your personal information in accordance with these principles.
Indian clients
If you are located in India, your personal information is also handled in accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. By using this website you consent to the transfer and processing of your data as described in this policy.
